On October 4 of this year, an event was organized by the National Erasmus +Office in Uzbekistan (NEO) under the name “Erasmus + Info Day” at the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov. At this event, executives of successfully accomplished projects shared their experiences on how to present applications, issuing requirements, development and management of the projects. In addition, within the framework of the European Union Erasmus + program, a joint international exhibition of Tempus and Erasmus+ projects has been organized which included several projects in different directions and sectors.
In particular, the team of the project Erasmus+ “DSinGIS: Doctoral Studies in Geoinformation Sciences” of TIIAME – I.Abdurahmanov, a National Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, PhD student of department of “Land Use”, M.Akbarov, a senior teacher of department of “Geodesy and Geoinformatics”, Sh.Rakhmonov, Head of International Cooperation Department, Z.Mamatqulov, PhD student of department of “Geodesy and Geoinformatics”, as well as A.Khamraliev, a specialist of the International Cooperation Department participated in the exhibition.
During the exhibition, most of the participants were interested in DSinGIS who had an overview of the project, its purpose, and objectives, and received answers to their questions. The geodetic equipment obtained within the DSinGIS project also attracted the attention of exhibitors. Z. Mamatkulov has explained to participants of the exhibition the ways of using devices and the analysis of the obtained results.
The exhibition was examined by several experts from European and Asian countries and was evaluated on a variety of criteria. The “DSinGIS: Doctoral Studies in Geoinformation Sciences” project, which is being implemented at TIIAME, has taken the first place of honor among several international Erasmus+ projects participating in the exhibition.
